Training Goals and Objectives

This course will prepare learners to install, configure, and maintain the Dell PowerEdge 6650 system. This course will also assist learners seeking to complete the Associates-level Dell Certified Enterprise Engineer track for PowerEdge servers.

Objectives

Upon completing the course, learners will be able to:

• Accurately identify the features of the PowerEdge 6650, including:
  • Product benefits
  • Basic system technology (processor, chipset, memory, integrated devices, chassis, racking options)

• Accurately identify, configure and troubleshoot the PowerEdge 6650 factory installed hardware components and features, including:
  • Chassis
  • Processor
  • System Board (including chipset)
  • Memory
  • Backplane
  • Video
  • Network Interface Cards
  • SCSI/ROMB

• Accurately identify the correct procedures for using and/or updating PowerEdge 6650 firmware and software, including
  • BIOS and System Setup program
  • Support applications found on the PowerEdge utility partition
  • Support applications found on the Dell Server Assistant CD.
