Course Overview
This course provides the information needed for successful completion of the PowerEdge Server Foundation Certification Exam.
Upon completion of this course, you should be able to:
Identify system architecture and hardware features for currently available PowerEdge servers.
Demonstrate knowledge of component location and design features for current PowerEdge chassis designs.
Identify Dell's rack mounting systems and accessories for use in racking systems.
Identify System Setup Program (BIOS) options found on PowerEdge servers and explain the effect these settings have on system function.
Identify the correct procedure for updating the BIOS, implementing an asset tag, and updating firmware on a PowerEdge server.
Identify the correct procedure for using the Dell Server Assistant to set up drive arrays and install supported Microsoft® operating systems on a PowerEdge server.
Identify the correct procedure for using the support applications found on the PowerEdge utility partition and the Dell Server Assistant.
