PowerVault Tape Drives

The PowerVault tape backup family includes a full range of reliable, high performance tape drives, autoloaders and libraries designed to meet a variety of needs. The PowerVault 100T series are tape drives designed for smaller business. It consists of either a Travan or DDS tape technology.

Single Tape Units

PowerVault 100T Series

The PowerVault 100T series are economical tape units suitable for workgroup level or standalone servers. They offer tape capacities up to 20GB and are available in either SCSI or IDE formats.

PowerVault 110T Series

Dell tape drives that are suitable for departmental or enterprise class servers are called PowerVault 110T. These drives are available in either internal or external models.

Autoloaders/Mini-Library

An autoloader is unit containing one or two single-tape tape drives. The unit is capable of storing approximately eight tapes. Autoloaders allow unattended, automated backups. A mini-library is capable of containing up to 20 tape cartridges while still having two drives in the unit.

PowerVault 120T

Tape Libraries

Tape libraries provide large scale, enterprise class tape automation. Containing up to six tape drives, they are ideally suited for SAN backup or the backing up of multiple servers.
