Dell PowerEdge 1650

Removing the Cover

The top cover consists of two panels that swing up and out, as with PowerEdge 2450. However, the alignment is somewhat different. The larger panel covers the system area, and the smaller panel covers the power supply compartment. Below are the steps to open the top covers.

 Removing the Cover
Step 1: To open the top covers, depress the button on the front right hand corner of the control panel.

Step 2: Open the smaller panel.
