Dell PowerEdge 2650

Bezel

Active ID
The PowerEdge 2650 uses Dell's Active ID system to quickly provide system status visually. When the bezel is in place on the system and the system is powered on, the Dell badge will be in one of the following states:

This is a picture of the front bezel's ActiveID glowing blue The Dell logo lights blue when the system is operating correctly.
This is a picture of the bezel's ActiveID glowing amber The caution icon lights amber when the system needs attention.

An amber caution light indicates the need for attention to one or more of the following subsystems:

  • System power
  • Cooling (fan failure/system temperature)
  • Hard-disk storage
  • PCI bus/expansion cards

When the amber caution light is on, you should remove the system bezel and attempt to isolate and resolve the problem.

 Removing the Bezel
Step 1: Using the system key, unlock the bezel.

Step 2: Press the tab at the left end of the bezel and rotate the left end of the bezel away from the system to release the right end of the bezel.

Step 3: Pull the bezel away from the system.
