Dell PowerEdge 6650

Peripheral Riser Card

Because of limited chassis space in the PowerEdge 6650, Dell developed a Peripheral Riser Card that serves as a central location into which cables can connect. The PowerEdge 6650 Peripheral Riser Card supports a 72-pin HDM connector with guide pin and two 3-blade power modules for direct connection to the processor board, a 68-pin connector for cabling to the CD/floppy interposer, a 20-pin connector for cabling to the Control Panel, and 18-pin connector for cabling to the PowerEdge 6650 1 x 5 (2 x 3) backplane. All the connectors that cables plug into are latching.
