Security Features
The PowerEdge 4600 chassis incorporates the following security features:
  • Cover Lock- A lock that secures the top cover to the chassis is included.
  • Hard Drive Security- The front bezel of the system may contain an optional lock that secures the system hard drives.
  • Power off Security- The control panel is designed to prevent accidental activation of the power switch. When the bezel is locked, the power switch may not be manipulated.
  • Intrusion Alert- A switch in the system sends a signal to the server management software whenever the chassis is opened, providing intrusion alerts to the administrator.
  • Secure Mode- Enabling secure boot mode in the System Setup Utility (BIOS) allows the Control Panel's power and NMI switches to be locked out.
