Chassis

Top Cover

The top cover is mounted to the system via three thumbscrews located underneath the front bezel. When the bezel is locked on the system, access to the thumbscrews is prevented, providing top cover security.

IMPORTANT - More Information NOTE: There is a side door on the top cover which can be opened by turning the key lock and depressing the two tabs. This door allows access to the PCI slots without removing the entire cover.

To remove the entire top cover, follow the steps below (make certain the bezel is removed first).

 Removing the Cover
Step 1: To open the top covers, loosen the three captive thumbscrews (circled in blue in the image below) on the front of the server.

Step 2: Slide the cover toward the rear. Then rotate the system cover toward the top of the server.
