Cable Management

The following section includes instructions for installing the cable management hardware used on a rack-mounted PowerEdge 4600.

 Installing Cable Management Hardware
Step 1: Facing the back of the rack cabinet, attach the right-angle bracket to the back of the system.

Step 2: Install the five screws that secure the right-angle bracket to the back of the system.

Step 3: Insert the cable management arm into the right-angle bracket.

Step 4: Tighten the thumbscrew to secure the cable management arm to the right-angle bracket.

Step 5: Swing the cable management arm towards the opposite slide rail assembly.

Step 6: Place the cable management arm hook behind the vertical rail.

Step 7: Open the hinged bracket.

Step 8: Align the back of the hinged bracket with the square holes in the back vertical rail near the right-angle bracket.

Step 9: Push the back of the hinged bracket into the square holes on the vertical rail.

Step 10: Push the front of the hinged bracket against the vertical rail, and tighten the thumbscrew.

Step 11: Push the system towards the front of the rack, then plug in all cables and route them through the velcro straps on the cable management arm.
