PowerEdge Chassis and Rack Designs

PowerEdge 7150 Chassis

The PowerEdge 7150 is the first Dell server based on Intel 64-bit architecture, supporting up to 4 Intel Itanium processors.

The layout of the 7150 is similar to the 8450 in that it uses subassemblies instead of a system board, but the PowerEdge 7150 uses a different chassis design and system architecture than any other Dell server. The chassis for the 7150 is a 7U rack only unit.
