Utility Menu

The Utility menu allows use of the EFI to perform system maintenance tasks, as well as providing access to the EFI shell interface.

Choosing "Utilities" from the Main Menu will call up the Utility Menu:

Available choices in the Utility Menu:

  • System Utilities allows access to any system utilities that may be installed on the EFI partition.

  • Run Diagnostics from Diskette is used if diskette based diagnostics are to be run.

  • EFI Shell is a command line interface that allows manipulation of the EFI.

  • BIOS Update is used to update the system BIOS with a file.

  • Firmware Update is used to update the firmware on the system with a file.
